Dr. Nilash Patel has been a preferred provider of Invisalign® orthodontics since 2014. He is one of a select few clinicians in Florida who use iTero technology with the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show patients how their teeth will be positioned and their smile will appear.
The iTero scanner is a specially designed high speed digital camera, much like a video camera but on a wand that fits easily in the mouth. As the wand is passed around the interior of your mouth, the details of your teeth, gum tissue, and other soft tissue are captured to create 3D digital models.
The scanning process takes 5 to 10 minutes. Dr. Nilash Patel is able to show you on the iTero flat screen the current position of your teeth and how they are likely to appear after Invisalign treatment. Dr. Patel uses touch screen tools to make real-time adjustments to the simulated outcome while you watch. Even if removal of third molars (wisdom teeth) will be a first step, the simulator easily models the opened space and movement of your teeth into optimal alignment.
Because you’ll be able to envision the benefits of optimal tooth alignment and the beauty of your future smile after Invisalign treatment, you also will be able to make treatment decisions with confidence.
