The scanning process takes 5 to 10 minutes, after which, the simulation software is used to create before and after treatment 3D images. Dr. Nilash Patel will show you the current position of your teeth and how they are likely to appear after Invisalign treatment. He uses touch screen tools to make real-time adjustments to the simulated outcome while you watch. Even if removal of third molars (wisdom teeth) will be a first step, the simulator easily models the opened space and movement of your teeth into optimal alignment. Using the PROPEL© System, Dr. Patel can speed up your orthodontic treatment by 50 to 60%. Most patients only need one PROPEL treatment session, which can be completed in minutes. You will be numbed with a highly concentrated numbing gel and afterwards experience no or only minor discomfort, which can be treated with over the counter acetaminophen (Tylenol).
